With thousands of patrons attending annually, The Eastern Bridal Fair and Lifestyle Expo brings together leading wedding-industry service providers including decorators, planners, travel agencies, local and international clothing brands and boutiques, jewellers;  as well as the newly introduced lifestyle elements which include Ayurveda, healthcare, beauty, healing, wellness & other related services.

Over the years, the Eastern Bridal Fair has hosted international film and television stars including Teju and Onir (Pavitra Rishta), Darsheel  Safary from Taare Zameen Par and Vishaka and Dev of Choti Bahu and Piyush Sahadev who acted in numerous hit shows, all of whom have also been part of the fair. Singing sensations Shruti Rane and Sidharth Slathia also participated in the Fair. Together with leading clothing boutiques from India, Pakistan & South Africa, designers; Nida Azwar, Varun Bahl, Mansi Malhotra and Vikram Phadnis were invited to present their couture at our showcase.

An hour-long fashion showcase paired with beautiful music and soulful dance is performed 8 times during the weekend and gives leading exhibitors the opportunity to be part of the fashion show & dance extravaganza which features a cast and crew of local dancers and models. Over the years, Shampa Sonthalia – Gopikrishna, Yash Pandya, Foram Sampat,  Tripti Master, and Kshitij Vaishnav were among the talented choreographers from India while Pavishen Paideya from South Africa worked with local dancers and models to bring dazzling concepts to life.

The 2018 showcase will once again be produced by Epic Entertainment and will feature a soulful amalgamation of Fashion and Indian Contemporary Dance, together with local and international brands; it will be our pleasure, for the first time in South Africa, to showcase the Prestigious Ritu Kumar Collection which is the largest and most respected designer-wear brand in India today. Since 1969, She has developed a unique style of her own, reflecting the ancient traditions of Indian craftsmanship in a contemporary vocabulary. Ritu Kumar’s understanding of ancient designs and the innovative use of traditional crafts has created a new classicism. Today her company is renowned for its distinctive use of colours, quality of fabrics, intricate embroideries and a gloriously rich Indian aesthetic.

The star of his own prime-time TV series, the first & only South African magician to tour with a national theatre show with 15 years of professional performing experience, known as the ” James Bond of magic” Mo Magic will allure and enthral audiences with magic and illusion paired with fashion and dance at our annual fashion showcase. Mo is only the third magician in a 50-year history to have a TV magic series and only the 2nd to have it commissioned in totality by the SABC. Following the success of the TV show, Mo Magic toured South Africa in 2016 while in 2017 he performed and recorded magic in Las Vegas & Hollywood then returned to South Africa with “Moments of Wonder” presented to sold-out houses in Kwazulu Natal.

In celebration of Madiba’s 100th Birthday, it is our pleasure to exhibit 18 life-size wax sculptures of the Nelson Mandela Collection by Durban’s own Lungele Gumede.
